Getting ready for the Island Premiere!!
January 28, 2011 by Tailormade Productions
We are all choosing our outfits for the official red carpet Premiere at the Glasgow Film Festival on Sunday 20 February. We spent several nerve wracking evenings watching the final play out of the film at Ascent Media (now Deluxe) but we’re finally there.
There will be Q&A’s with the Directors Brek and Elizabeth after both the GFF screenings as well as appearances from Jane Rogers (the novelist) and maybe even Colin Morgan himself . The organizers of the festival have told us that tickets are selling out fast so if you haven’t got yours yet then you can get them online here
If you aren’t able to get to either of these screenings, Soda will be releasing ISLAND as part of their New British Cinema Quarterly programme from April-June to cinemas from Bristol to Manchester. Petition your local venue if you’d like us to come and visit! As well as screenings, we are working with Film London and other organisations to set up fun and informative talks about the process of making a low budget feature film, warts and all!
You can read an interview from the fabulously talented writer-director Elizabeth Mitchell here…
http://www.moviescopemag.com/2011/01/elizabeth-mitchell-writer/ Oh and finally can I remind you all that we are planning a special one-off, multi-directed podcast from our premiere, so if you are able to make it along with a camera (not to film in the cinema of course!) and fancy making a video of the event we would love to use it to promote the movie. How about interviewing yourselves before and after the screening?, email if you’d like to interview any of us too and we’ll then edit them all together to make one mega multi-directed podcast to go up on our website.
